Join your neighbours for The Big Lunch

The Aylesbury community is invited to come together this weekend to share The Big Lunch - the UK's biggest neighbourhood celebration.

Date published: 07 Jun 2016

Spread the word to get families and neighbours to picnic with friends on the small grass park at the corner of Inville Road and Beaconsfield Road.

The event runs from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Sunday 12 June, and will include:

  • A live steel band
  • Fun and games including big Connect Four, bubble blowing, chalk drawing, bunting making and face painting
  • Sample salads from nearby community gardens
  • Top tips and healthy recipes from local nutrionist Nureen

We'd like you to bring along your own food, or enough to share, plus something to sit on. There will be a limited number of picnic blankets and tables available.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and BBQs are not allowed.

For more information contact Becky Williams, Resident Involvement Officer, on 020 3815 0144 or aylesbury@nhg.org.uk. Alternatively, you can get more Big Lunch ideas and stories from the dedicated website.
