Our vision is to create a place that everyone, from every background, will choose as their home, and where families can bring up children on safe streets, close to good schools and with excellent job opportunities - all in the heart of the capital.

The vision and proposals for the regeneration are based on the Aylesbury Area Action Plan (AAAP), which was adopted by Southwark Council following extensive consultation with local residents.

The vision is to revitalise this part of London, break down existing boundaries and knit it seamlessly into the surrounding city, with beautiful open spaces and comfortable homes. There will be new neighbourhoods of outstanding quality that everyone will choose as their home.

It will be a place that families will choose to bring up their children, on safe streets and in well maintained parks, close to good schools and excellent job opportunities, right in the heart of London. All homes will be Lifetime Homes compliant and all will provide private outdoor space. They will be built to a minimum of London Housing Design Guide and London Borough of Southwark housing standards.

The regeneration of the Aylesbury is broken down into a number of phases which you can explore further in the map below.

Please note, the Aylesbury regeneration will take place over many years.

This means dates may change over time. These will be updated on this page.
