Free art workshops for young residents
An exciting opportunity is coming up for young residents to create artwork inspired by their local area.
'As here becomes there' is a project being run by the Aylesbury Artists’ Collective. They are running free art workshops which will take place from 18 - 20 February during half-term week.
Students will work with artists Mandy Payne and Harriet Hill to develop a range of skills including drawing, printmaking, collage and stop frame animation.
In May, an exhibition will be held at ASC Gallery on Thurlow Street to celebrate all of the artwork that has been created through the project.
The art workshops are for young people aged 8 to 19. Places are limited – please email hatmena@gmail.com to find out more if you are interested in taking part.
This project has been funded by an Aylesbury Community Grant from Notting Hill Genesis. The grants programme supports local residents and community organisations to make a positive difference to the Aylesbury and surrounding area.
